Good Samaritans Bringing Aid to Fellow Newton County Residents

East Newton Water Supply received a $10,000 check on Monday, May 15 for the recent disaster when their well collapsed and left residents without water for over a week.  First Baptist Church of Deweyville gave the money to help resolve the problem and out of compassion for those desperate for relief.

Currently the City of Newton has connected to their lines and is supplying most of the customers with water until the well can be repaired.  Pictured is Newton County Commissioner, Thomas Gill; County Judge, Paul Price; and Brad Bickham of Deweyville FBC; East Newton Water Supply President, Mike Horn; and George Mortimer of FBC of Deweyville.
