Bond Election Coming November 2nd

The Newton County Commissioners Court held a Special Meeting on Thursday, August 12 to vote to approve a Bond Election for Newton County concerning the prison refurbishing.  According to Judge Weeks, the election was approved and set for Tuesday, November 2, 2021.  We spoke with Newton County Clerk, Sandra K. Duckworth and she told us that the polling places would be the normal election polling locations for voters.  More details coming soon on locations.
