Great Comeback for the Purple Hull Pea Festival

The 2022 Texas Purple Hull Pea Festival was held on June 25th in the historic Freedom County of Shankleville and the annual event was a huge success! Vendors offered a variety of delicious food choices, local honey, souvenirs, and loads of family fun. Over 85 bushels of purple hull peas were sold at the festival.
