Wanted Person Arrested

Sheriff Robert Burby is pleased to report that on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, James Tyler Chapman was arrested just south on Hwy. 96 south near Memaws Convenient Store by Jasper County Sheriff’s Office and Newton County Deputies.

The Sheriff wanted to thank Jasper County Sheriff’s Department for their valuable assistance as well as the citizens of Newton County for their information on the where-abouts of this individual.
